The Binghamton Local Development Corporation is once again partnering with SUNY Broome’s Entrepreneurial Assistance Program for the 2019 Business Plan Competition.
Over 60 teams have participated in the Binghamton regional I-Corps program since its start in 2017, with 8 teams having been accepted into the National program to date and multiple more in progress.
Not only did they hit their fundraising goal of $7,000 — they exceeded it by almost $5,000.
The Accelerator Program is evolving just as quickly as the startup community in the Southern Tier. For the second round of start-ups Krohn is hoping to make the program more fluid and educational.
Through this initiative, EMPEQ, an energy efficiency project investment and asset management firm, said it will gain access to free programming and resources within the Founder Institute’s global network.
Parlor City Vegan has graduated from the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator and will soon be moving into its own space at 81 Clinton Street in Binghamton.
